Overview

ATU-134 is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by Silence Therapeutics that targets Platelet Endothelial Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 (PECAM1), also known as CD31. Utilizing the proprietary AtuRNAi platform and AtuPLEX delivery system, ATU-134 was designed to inhibit the expression of PECAM1 in vascular endothelial cells. This modulation aimed to disrupt tumor angiogenesis and reduce vascular permeability, making it a candidate for the treatment of various neoplasms and inflammatory respiratory conditions such as acute lung injury. Clinical development for these indications has been discontinued.
