Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Audenz** is an inactivated, adjuvanted pandemic influenza vaccine developed for active immunization against disease caused by the **influenza A H5N1 virus subtype** contained in the vaccine. It is approved for use in individuals **6 months of age and older** who are at increased risk of exposure to the vaccine-matched H5N1 strain. As a prophylactic vaccine, its mechanism is to present inactivated H5 hemagglutinin-containing viral antigen and induce protective humoral immune responses, including neutralizing antibodies, against H5N1 influenza A. The product was developed by Seqirus as part of pandemic influenza preparedness and is administered intramuscularly.
