Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AUJAYA (also known as Aujaiya or Aujai) is a traditional Unani multi-herb formulation developed and manufactured by Dawakhana Tibbiya College (Aligarh Muslim University). It is primarily indicated for the treatment and prevention of kidney ailments, including kidney inflammation (nephritis), kidney calculi (stones), and gravel. Additionally, AUJAYA is used to tone kidney functions, prevent tissue destruction in the kidneys, and prevent the accumulation of uric acid in the joints, making it beneficial for joint pain, lumbago, rheumatism, gout, and sciatica. The formulation contains a blend of traditional herbs and minerals, including Suranjan Shirin (Colchicum luteum), Shora Qalmi (potassium nitrate), Satar Farsi (Zataria multiflora), and Tukhm Karafs (celery seed), which provide anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties.
