Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AUM003 is an investigational, selective inhibitor of MAP kinase-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinases 1 and 2 (MNK1/MNK2), being developed by AUM Biosciences as a precision oncology therapy with potential blood–brain barrier penetration.[1][7][10][12] By inhibiting MNK1/2, AUM003 is designed to down-regulate phosphorylation and activity of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E), thereby suppressing oncogenic mRNA translation and tumor growth, including in settings of resistance to upstream kinase inhibitors.[1][7][9] The program is in early-stage development and is positioned as a next-generation, nucleic acid–based MNK inhibitor candidate for solid tumors, with AUM having sub-licensed Greater China rights to Newsoara Biopharma.[2][10][12]
