Overview

Aumolertinib + gumarontinib is a combination therapy used for treating EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with acquired MET amplification. Aumolertinib is a third-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that selectively inhibits both EGFR-sensitive and EGFR T790M resistance mutations. Gumarontinib is a novel MET tyrosine kinase inhibitor. This combination has shown promise in overcoming MET amplification-induced EGFR-TKI resistance, particularly in patients with brain metastases. In a case study, this combination demonstrated significant radiographic improvement of brain metastases in a patient who had progressed on previous EGFR-TKI therapy.
