AUR-107 is an oral, small molecule dual inhibitor of the bromodomain-containing proteins CBP (CREB-binding protein) and p300. By binding to the bromodomains of CBP and p300, AUR-107 disrupts histone acetylation and other protein acetylation processes. This leads to decreased generation of regulatory T cells (Tregs), inhibition of their suppressive function, and induction of Treg apoptosis. The drug is being developed primarily for oncology indications, including various advanced solid tumors such as non-small cell lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancers (including colorectal and esophageal cancer), kidney cancer, transitional cell carcinoma (urothelial/bladder cancer), and small cell lung cancer. Preclinical studies have shown promising efficacy with good therapeutic margins. The developer is Aurigene Oncology Ltd., a subsidiary of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories.
