Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AUR01 is an investigational **PET radiotracer** developed by **Aurora Bio** for whole-body imaging of **systemic amyloidosis**. Its active ingredient is **124I-p5+14**, a synthetic amyloid-binding peptide labeled with iodine-124 for positron emission tomography. The agent is intended as a **diagnostic imaging radiopharmaceutical** to detect and quantify amyloid deposits across multiple organs, including the heart, kidneys, liver, spleen, pancreas, bone marrow, lung, and adrenal glands, with potential utility in diseases such as **light chain amyloidosis**, **transthyretin amyloidosis**, and **ALECT2 amyloidosis**. Mechanistically, the tracer binds deposited amyloid in tissues, enabling noninvasive visualization of total-body amyloid burden and potentially earlier diagnosis and monitoring of organ involvement.
