Overview
AUR105 is an oral, small molecule inhibitor of protein arginine methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5), developed by Aurigene Oncology. It acts as a substrate competitive inhibitor of PRMT5 and has demonstrated significant efficacy in multiple preclinical cancer models, with a high tumor/plasma ratio observed in xenograft studies. The drug is currently in Phase I clinical trials for the treatment of hematologic malignancies such as Hodgkin's lymphoma, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, leukemia, and various solid tumors[1][3][5][7]. Its mechanism involves inhibiting PRMT5 activity, which plays a role in epigenetic regulation and tumor cell proliferation.
