Overview

Auremolimab is an investigational monoclonal antibody that targets the interleukin-15 receptor beta subunit (IL-15Rβ, also known as IL-2/15Rβ or CD122) and is being developed for the treatment of vitiligo. The drug depletes and inhibits autoreactive resident memory T-cells which contribute to the pathogenesis of vitiligo. Initially developed by Villaris Therapeutics, the asset was acquired by Incyte. As of the latest updates, auremolimab had reached the IND (Investigational New Drug) application stage with preclinical or early clinical phase development for vitiligo.[1][3][6][7][10][11]
