Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aurigene Discovery Technologies is developing a small molecule inhibitor of the E3 ubiquitin ligase **CBL-B** (Casitas B-lineage lymphoma proto-oncogene B) for the treatment of solid tumors. CBL-B is a critical intracellular checkpoint that negatively regulates the activation of T cells and NK cells. By inhibiting CBL-B, the drug aims to lower the threshold for immune cell activation and prevent exhaustion, thereby enhancing the anti-tumor immune response. This approach is designed to overcome immune suppression within the tumor microenvironment and is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
