Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Auro Vaccines RSV vaccine is a viral vector vaccine candidate currently in preclinical development for the prevention of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection. Utilizing the proprietary VesiculoVax™ platform, the vaccine employs an engineered, replication-competent vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) vector to deliver RSV antigens. The VSV vector is a negative-strand, non-segmented RNA virus modified to express these antigens in their authentic form, which is intended to trigger a robust immune response and the production of neutralizing antibodies. The vaccine is specifically designed to address the significant morbidity associated with RSV in vulnerable populations, such as young children and older adults, and is being evaluated for immunogenicity and efficacy in various animal models.
