Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aurufluxx is a phytopharmaceutical developed by Ruhrpharm, containing a dry extract of goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea). It is primarily indicated for the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the lower urinary tract and as a flushing therapy for the prevention and treatment of urinary stones and kidney gravel. The extract exerts its therapeutic effects through a combination of diuretic (aquaretic), anti-inflammatory, and mild antispasmodic properties. While the exact molecular targets are not fully characterized, the efficacy is attributed to secondary plant metabolites such as flavonoids, saponins, and phenolic acids found in the goldenrod plant. It is an approved medication in Germany.
