AUTO9 is an experimental immunotherapy drug designed as a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy targeting multiple antigens, specifically CD123, CD33, and CLL-1. It was initially developed by University College London. The drug is intended for the treatment of hematological malignancies such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Its mechanism of action involves genetically engineering a patient's own T cells to express CARs that recognize and bind to the target antigens on cancer cells, leading to targeted immune-mediated destruction of those malignant cells[1].
