Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Autoimmune Program 1 is a preclinical research and development initiative by TCRx Therapeutics (utilizing the TScan Therapeutics platform) focused on identifying novel T-cell targets and autoantigens for the treatment of various autoimmune conditions. The program employs the proprietary TargetScan platform to discover disease-reactive T cells and their corresponding targets in systemic sclerosis (scleroderma), ulcerative colitis, ankylosing spondylitis, and birdshot uveitis. To date, the program has identified CD8+ T cell targets in ankylosing spondylitis and birdshot uveitis, as well as HLA Class II-restricted autoantigens in systemic sclerosis and ulcerative colitis. The ultimate goal of the program is to develop target-directed therapeutics, potentially including tolerogenic therapies or TCR-engineered T cell therapies, to precisely modulate autoimmune pathways and provide more effective treatments for these chronic inflammatory diseases.
