Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Autologel (marketed as Aurix) is an autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) gel system developed for the treatment of chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, and venous stasis ulcers. The system processes a small sample of the patient's own blood at the point of care to produce a "biodynamic hematogel" containing a high concentration of platelets, growth factors, and cytokines. Upon application to the wound, these components—such as PDGF, TGF-β, and VEGF—stimulate the natural healing cascade by promoting angiogenesis, cell migration, and tissue regeneration. ImmuneCyte Life Sciences has licensed the exclusive rights to the Aurix platform for the China market, where it is currently in Phase II development for diabetic foot ulcers.
