Overview

BioCytics' autologous γδ T-cell therapy is an investigational adoptive cell therapy designed to treat solid tumors. The approach involves the ex-vivo expansion and subsequent adoptive transfer of a patient's own gamma delta (γδ) T cells. Unlike conventional αβ T cells, these γδ T cells possess intrinsic specificity for phosphoantigens, innate signals of cellular stress, and cells exhibiting HLA downregulation (loss of MHC class I), allowing them to target malignant cells without the need for chimeric antigen receptors (CARs). This therapy is part of BioCytics' proprietary ex-vivo culture system aimed at point-of-care collection and expansion for immuno-oncology applications.
