Autologous Adipose Cells Therapy is an investigational cell-based treatment being developed by CERM for skin rejuvenation and hair improvement. The therapy uses a patient's own (autologous) adipose-derived cells as the active ingredient, which are harvested from fat tissue and then administered back to the patient. This biologic therapy is being evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial for multiple indications including skin aging conditions—such as wrinkles, fine lines, loss of skin elasticity, skin pigmentation, and scarring—and alopecia. The treatment involves processing the patient's adipose tissue to isolate therapeutic cells that are then injected into the scalp for hair improvement or into the skin for rejuvenation purposes, aiming to enhance aesthetic outcomes compared to traditional fat grafting or dermal fillers.
