This autologous cell therapy, developed by InGeneron, Inc., consists of adipose-derived regenerative cells (ADRCs) isolated from a patient's own fat tissue for the treatment of partial-thickness rotator cuff tears. The heterogeneous cell population includes mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), vascular-associated pluripotent stem cells (vaPS cells), and various progenitor cells. The therapy is processed at the point of care using the proprietary Transpose Ultra platform, which involves harvesting adipose tissue from the patient's abdomen, isolating the regenerative cells via enzymatic digestion, and injecting the final cell suspension into the damaged supraspinatus tendon under ultrasound guidance. The therapy is designed to facilitate tissue regeneration and healing of chronic tendon injuries, serving as a regenerative alternative to the current standard of care, such as corticosteroid injections. It is currently being evaluated through the FDA premarket approval (PMA) pathway.
