Overview

Autologous adipose-derived stromal vascular fraction (AD-cSVF) is a cellular therapy developed by Healeon Medical Inc. for the treatment of chronic pain conditions, including Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), and fibromyalgia. The therapy involves extracting adipose tissue from the patient via liposuction, processing it using a specialized centrifuge system to isolate the stromal vascular fraction—a heterogeneous mixture of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), endothelial progenitor cells, and immune cells—and re-administering it to the patient via intravenous infusion. The mechanism of action is primarily attributed to the immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties of the constituent cells, which secrete bioactive factors that aim to mitigate neuroinflammation and peripheral sensitization characteristic of these pain syndromes.
