Overview

Autologous adipose stromal vascular fraction (SVF) is a heterogeneous cellular concentrate derived from a patient's own adipose tissue, typically obtained via lipoaspiration. It contains a diverse population of cells, including adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs), mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs), endothelial progenitor cells, pericytes, T-regulatory cells, and macrophages. SVF is utilized for its regenerative, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory properties. The preparation involves enzymatic digestion or mechanical dissociation of fat tissue followed by centrifugation to isolate the cellular component from mature adipocytes. It is being investigated for a wide range of conditions, including osteoarthritis, autoimmune diseases, chronic wounds, and degenerative disorders.
