**Autologous adipose-tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells** are multipotent mesenchymal stromal/stem cells isolated from a patient's own adipose (fat) tissue. These cells are characterized by their capacity for self-renewal and differentiation into various cell types including adipocytes (fat cells), osteocytes (bone cells), chondrocytes (cartilage cells), myocytes (muscle cells), neurons, and endothelial cells.
