Overview

Autologous adipose tissue derived stromal vascular fraction (AD-tSVF) is a heterogeneous mixture of cells isolated from a patient's own (autologous) fat tissue. This cell population includes mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), endothelial cells, pericytes, immune cells (such as T-cells), and other progenitor and support cells. The primary mechanism of action is believed to be regenerative and immunomodulatory; the MSCs within the SVF can differentiate into various cell types including bone, cartilage, and muscle. Additionally, these cells secrete paracrine factors that modulate inflammation and promote tissue repair. AD-tSVF is being investigated for use in regenerative medicine applications such as osteoarthritis treatment and reconstructive surgery due to its potential to reduce inflammation and stimulate regeneration in damaged tissues[1][2][4].
