Autologous anti-CD19CAR-4-1BB-CD3zeta-EGFRt-expressing T lymphocytes is a type of chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy that uses a patient's own T cells engineered to express a receptor targeting CD19, a protein found on B cells. This CAR construct contains a 4-1BB costimulatory domain and CD3zeta signaling domain, along with a truncated epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFRt) as a safety mechanism. Upon administration, these modified T cells recognize and attack CD19-positive cells, making them effective against B-cell malignancies including leukemias and lymphomas.
