Overview

IVS-3001 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) immunotherapy designed to target and kill tumor cells expressing HLA-G, a rarely exploited immune checkpoint and tumor-specific antigen. HLA-G is typically only expressed during pregnancy to protect the fetus from maternal immune attack, but in cancer, tumors exploit HLA-G to evade the immune system by creating an immunosuppressive microenvironment. By specifically recognizing and destroying HLA-G-expressing tumor cells, IVS-3001 aims to revert this immune suppression and restore effective anti-tumor immunity. The therapy has demonstrated preclinical efficacy in eradicating tumors in animal models and is being developed for use in patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors that are positive for HLA-G expression, including renal cell carcinoma and ovarian cancer[1][3][4][5][6][8].
