**Autologous bone marrow CD34** refers to a cell therapy product in which CD34+ hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells are harvested from a patient's own (autologous) bone marrow, purified (typically by immunoaffinity methods), and reinfused after high-dose chemotherapy or radiation. CD34 is a marker expressed on hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells responsible for blood cell production. This procedure is most often used in hematologic malignancies such as lymphomas and multiple myeloma, where it helps restore bone marrow and blood cell populations after marrow-ablating therapies. The transplanted CD34+ cells home to the marrow and reconstitute hematopoiesis. Autologous approaches avoid risks of graft-versus-host disease but can carry a risk of reinfusing malignant cells if disease is present in the marrow. This is a form of stem cell therapy and regarded as standard of care for various blood cancers[1][2][3][4].
