Overview

This investigational cell therapy consists of autologous bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) developed by the D.O. Ott Research Institute of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductology. The therapy involves extracting MSCs from the patient's own bone marrow (iliac crest), cultivating them, and then transplanting them directly into the endometrial cavity. It is primarily indicated for treating infertility of uterine origin, specifically targeting conditions like Asherman syndrome, endometrial atrophy, and hypoplastic endometrium in patients with repeated IVF failures. The mechanism of action involves promoting endometrial repair and regeneration, increasing endometrial thickness, and improving receptivity for embryo implantation. In clinical trials, the procedure is typically performed on menstrual cycle days 5-6 and is combined with hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
