This investigational autologous cell therapy consists of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) developed by the Ukraine Association of Biobank for the treatment of liver cirrhosis. The therapy involves harvesting 100-200ml of bone marrow from the patient, processing it to isolate multipotent stromal cells, and re-infusing them into the patient. These mesenchymal stem cells are intended to treat compensated liver cirrhosis caused by Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH). The therapeutic mechanism is multifaceted, involving immunomodulation, anti-fibrotic signaling, and the potential differentiation of the stem cells into functional hepatocyte-like cells to promote hepatic regeneration and reduce liver scarring.
