Overview

Autologous CD147-targeted CAR-T cells are an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target **CD147** (also known as Basigin or EMMPRIN). CD147 is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is highly expressed in various hematological and solid tumors, including T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (T-NHL), where it promotes tumor progression and metastasis. Developed by the National Translational Science Center for Molecular Medicine at the **Air Force Medical University**, this therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a CAR specific for CD147. In clinical trials (e.g., ChiCTR2100045721), these cells are being evaluated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory CD147-positive T-NHL, often as a bridge to sequential allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT).
