Overview

Autologous CD30.CAR-T is a target-specific generic descriptor for a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy that utilizes a patient's own (autologous) T cells, genetically modified to recognize and eliminate cells expressing the **CD30** (TNFRSF8) antigen. CD30 is a cell surface marker highly expressed in **classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL)** and certain subtypes of **non-Hodgkin lymphoma**, such as anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL). The most prominent clinical-stage candidate under this name was **TT11** (also known as ATLCAR.CD30), developed by **Tessa Therapeutics** in collaboration with **Baylor College of Medicine**. TT11 was investigated in the Phase 1b **ACTION** trial in combination with the PD-1 inhibitor nivolumab for relapsed or refractory cHL. Despite promising early data, development of TT11 was terminated in 2023 when Tessa Therapeutics ceased its operations.
