Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Autologous cellular therapy with PRP-PC is a regenerative cell therapy developed by H-CYTE for the treatment of chronic lung diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and interstitial lung disease (ILD). The therapy involves harvesting a patient's own peripheral blood and processing it using proprietary Emcyte centrifugation technology to isolate and concentrate platelets and other bioactive components into a Platelet-Rich Plasma Platelet Concentrate (PRP-PC). This concentrate is re-administered to the patient intravenously. Once in the systemic circulation, the concentrated cells are believed to become trapped in the lung's microcirculation, where they release a variety of growth factors, cytokines, and anti-inflammatory mediators. These factors are intended to promote tissue healing, reduce inflammation, and modulate the disease environment in the lungs.
