Overview

Autologous conditioned plasma (ACP) is a form of regenerative medicine that uses a patient's own blood components to promote healing. It's a type of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy that concentrates platelets and growth factors from the patient's blood plasma to accelerate the natural healing process. ACP is created by drawing blood from the patient, processing it through centrifugation to separate and concentrate platelets, and then injecting this concentrated plasma into the injured or damaged area. The high concentration of platelets and growth factors in ACP stimulates tissue repair, reduces inflammation, and enhances the body's natural healing mechanisms[1][2][3]. The primary applications of ACP include treating orthopedic conditions (such as osteoarthritis, tendinopathy, and sports injuries), promoting wound healing, and supporting tissue regeneration[4][6].
