Overview

Autologous cultured dermal cells are a cell therapy developed by Aderans Research Institute. This biological product involves taking a piece of occipital scalp from a subject, expanding the dermal cells from this tissue ex vivo in culture, harvesting them, and then injecting these cells into the balding area of the original subject's scalp. The therapy is designed to induce hair growth in individuals experiencing hair loss. It is being evaluated for its efficacy in male and female subjects with hair loss, sometimes in combination with topical minoxidil.
