Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Autologous Cytokine Rich Serum (CRS) is an investigational biologic therapy developed for the treatment of chronic lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow). It is an autologous blood-derived product prepared using the Q-Cytokine medical device, which processes the patient's own blood through a series of centrifugation steps to concentrate cytokines and growth factors released from platelets and leukocytes. These proteins are intended to facilitate the repair and regeneration of injured tendon tissue. The therapy is administered via local injection into the lateral epicondyle and is being evaluated as a less invasive alternative to arthroscopic resection surgery.
