Overview

Autologous DC-CTL is an adoptive cell therapy consisting of patient-derived dendritic cells (DCs) and cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs). In this therapeutic approach, dendritic cells are typically loaded with tumor-specific antigens to prime and activate T cells *ex vivo*. The resulting activated cytotoxic T lymphocytes are then re-infused into the patient, where they recognize and eliminate tumor cells expressing the target antigens. This specific program is being evaluated by Shenzhen Second People's Hospital for the treatment and prevention of breast cancer, often in combination with tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs).
