Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PT. JES Kasih Nusantara Sejahtera is developing an autologous dendritic cell-based immunotherapy for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy. This cell therapy involves the extraction of a patient's own dendritic cells, which are then processed and re-administered to modulate immune-mediated inflammatory processes associated with diabetic complications. Clinical evaluation in a Phase 1/2 trial conducted at Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital in Indonesia demonstrated improvements in the Toronto Clinical Neuropathy Score (TCNS) and modulation of inflammatory biomarkers, including Transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta) and Vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM-1). The therapy is part of a broader platform targeting various immune-related and infectious conditions, including COVID-19 and autoimmune diseases.
