Overview

This experimental cell therapy combination consists of autologous dendritic cells (DCs) and natural killer (NK) cells cultured in vitro. Developed by the National Taiwan University Clinical Trial Center, the therapy is designed to treat advanced or recurrent non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The dendritic cells are administered via axillary lymph node injection to prime the adaptive immune system and activate T-cell responses against tumor antigens. Simultaneously, the autologous natural killer cells are administered intravenously to provide direct, innate cytotoxic activity against tumor cells. The treatment approach aims to leverage both the antigen-presenting capabilities of DCs and the direct tumor-killing potential of NK cells to overcome immune evasion in lung cancer patients who have failed prior systemic therapies.
