Overview

Autologous EBV-specific T cells is an investigational adoptive cell therapy being developed for the treatment of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The therapy involves harvesting a patient's own T lymphocytes, which are then expanded and selected ex vivo for their ability to recognize and target EBV-encoded antigens. These specialized T cells are reinfused into the patient to eliminate EBV-infected malignant B cells. In clinical investigation by the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group (ALLG), this therapy is used as part of a sequential multimodality regimen following induction with tislelizumab, rituximab, and chemoimmunotherapy.
