The preparation involves the isolation of plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF), which contains a cocktail of bioactive molecules including platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta), epidermal growth factor (EGF), and fibroblast growth factor (FGF). These factors act synergistically to promote epithelial cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation while modulating the inflammatory environment of the ocular surface. By mimicking the natural composition of tears and providing a concentrated source of regenerative signals, these eye drops aim to accelerate post-operative recovery and reduce the high recurrence rates associated with pterygium surgery.
