Autologous HPV16 peptide-pulsed dendritic cell therapy is an experimental, patient-specific cell-based immunotherapy developed by the People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is designed for the treatment of advanced, HPV16-positive cervical cancer in patients who have exhausted standard treatment options. The therapy involves harvesting a patient's own dendritic cells (DCs), pulsing them ex vivo with peptides derived from the HPV16 E6 and E7 oncoproteins, and reinfusing them to prime and activate the patient's immune system. This approach aims to induce a robust HPV16-specific cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) response targeted against tumor cells expressing these viral antigens. It is currently being evaluated in early-phase clinical studies to assess safety and preliminary efficacy in patients with stage IIIB or higher cervical cancer.
