Overview

Autologous Human C-Kit CSCs II is an investigational autologous cell-based biologic therapy consisting of a specific combination of autologous human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) and autologous c-kit+ cardiac stem cells (hCSCs). Developed by Longeveron in collaboration with the University of Miami, the therapy is being evaluated in the Phase I/II CONCERT-HF clinical trial for the treatment of chronic ischemic left ventricular dysfunction and heart failure secondary to myocardial infarction. The product is formulated with approximately 39.8 million hMSCs and 0.2 million c-kit+ hCSCs per milliliter and is administered via transendocardial injection using the Biosense Webster MyoStar NOGA Injection Catheter System. The mechanism of action involves the synergistic potential of both cell types to promote myocardial repair and regeneration through paracrine signaling and direct cellular differentiation, aiming to improve cardiac function in patients with chronic heart failure.
