Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Autologous hyperacute serum is a biologic regenerative medicine product developed by OrthoSera. It is a patent-protected derivative of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), specifically the serum fraction extracted from platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) during the hyperacute phase of clot formation. Produced at the bedside using the hypACT inject device, the serum is rich in cytokines, growth factors, and structural proteins. It is administered via intra-articular injection to treat knee osteoarthritis and sports injuries. The serum works by modulating the pro-inflammatory cytokine environment within the joint and promoting chondrocyte viability and cartilage regeneration.
