Overview
A preparation of autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) that are genetically engineered to express the cytokine interleukin-7 (IL-7). This modification is designed to enhance the proliferation, survival, and persistence of T cells within the tumor microenvironment. The therapy aims to improve clinical responses in patients with advanced or metastatic melanoma by increasing the durability and antitumor activity of infused T cells. The product is manufactured using a lentiviral vector system developed by Adaptimmune Therapeutics. Clinical development is ongoing, with Phase 1 trials evaluating safety and feasibility in patients with unresectable or metastatic melanoma[1][2][5][6].
