Autologous Immune Enhancement Therapy (AIET) is a cell-based cancer immunotherapy developed by GN Corporation in collaboration with the Nichi In Centre for Regenerative Medicine (NCRM). The procedure involves isolating a patient's own natural killer (NK) cells and T lymphocytes from peripheral blood and expanding them 25-30 fold in a specialized laboratory environment. This expansion and activation process is conducted without the use of feeder cells, animal serum, or genetic manipulation. Once the immune cells are sufficiently activated and increased in number, they are reinfused into the patient to enhance the body's natural ability to recognize and destroy cancer cells through direct cytotoxic activity. AIET is typically administered as an adjuvant therapy alongside conventional treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. It has been utilized in Japan since the early 1990s and has been transferred to clinical settings in Vietnam, India, and Malaysia for the treatment of various solid tumors, including lung, liver, and colorectal cancers.
