Autologous iPS-derived cardiomyocytes is an investigational cell therapy developed by the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine for the treatment of chronic heart failure (CHF). The therapy involves the generation of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) from the patient's own cells, which are then differentiated into functional cardiomyocytes. These cells are administered via intravenous transplantation with the aim of repairing injured myocardial tissue and restoring cardiac function. The treatment is being evaluated in patients with CHF resulting from coronary heart disease, dilated cardiomyopathy, or Keshan disease.
