Autologous menstrual blood-derived stem cells (MenSCs) are a type of mesenchymal stem cell isolated from the menstrual blood of the same individual. These cells possess multipotent differentiation potential and exhibit properties such as immunomodulation, anti-inflammatory effects, and tissue regeneration. MenSCs have been investigated primarily for their ability to repair or regenerate endometrial tissue in conditions like intrauterine adhesions (Asherman syndrome) and thin endometrium. Clinical studies have shown that transplantation of autologous MenSCs can improve endometrial thickness and function, thereby enhancing fertility outcomes in women with refractory uterine conditions[1][3][8][10]. The mechanism is believed to involve paracrine signaling that promotes angiogenesis, reduces fibrosis, and stimulates endogenous cell proliferation.
