Overview

Autologous menstrual blood stromal stem cells (MenSCs) are a population of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) isolated from a patient's own menstrual blood. These cells exhibit high proliferative capacity, multi-lineage differentiation potential, and low immunogenicity. In the context of reproductive medicine, MenSCs are being investigated for their ability to promote endometrial regeneration and repair in patients with severe endometrial injury or Asherman's syndrome. The therapeutic effect is primarily mediated through paracrine signaling, where the cells secrete various growth factors (such as VEGF and TGF-β) and cytokines that stimulate angiogenesis, reduce fibrosis, and enhance the proliferation of resident endometrial cells, thereby improving uterine receptivity and fertility outcomes.
