Envita Medical Center's Autologous Natural Killer (NK) and Natural Killer T (NKT) cell immunotherapy is an adoptive cell transfer biologic therapy designed to treat various treatment-refractory metastatic cancers. The process involves collecting a patient's own white blood cells via apheresis, followed by the ex vivo expansion and activation of NK and NKT cell populations using specific cytokines over a period of 3-4 weeks. Once activated, these cytotoxic immune cells are reinfused into the patient to target and eliminate malignant cells. This personalized immunotherapy platform, referred to by Envita as Autologous Adoptive Immunotherapy (AAIT), is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for indications including breast cancer, glioma, hepatocellular carcinoma, squamous cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, and prostate cancer.
