Autologous non-bulbous dermal sheath (NBDS) cell therapy is a regenerative medicine candidate developed by Sinocell in collaboration with a German partner. This therapy utilizes NBDS cells, which are a specific population of progenitor cells derived from the hair follicle sheath. These cells are harvested from the patient, expanded or processed, and then reintroduced to treat skin aging. The mechanism involves the potential of NBDS cells to differentiate into dermal fibroblasts and secrete essential extracellular matrix components, thereby rejuvenating the skin structure. It is currently in early clinical development for the treatment of skin aging and is part of Sinocell's broader pipeline of autologous cell-based therapies.
