Overview

Autologous peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) are a cell therapy developed and utilized by Nadezhda Women's Health Hospital for the treatment of female infertility, particularly in cases of recurrent implantation failure or primary infertility with immune deviations. The therapy involves the isolation of mononuclear cells—including lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells—from the patient's own peripheral blood. These cells are processed and sometimes cultured with human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) or interferon tau (IFN-τ) before being administered into the uterine cavity. The mechanism of action involves the modulation of the maternal immune response and the secretion of various cytokines, chemokines, and growth factors that improve endometrial receptivity and create a more favorable environment for embryo implantation.
