Overview

A combination therapy consisting of **autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP)** and **cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA)**, used primarily as an **injectable regenerative treatment** for degenerative joint disorders (such as osteoarthritis) and for various types of skin fibrosis and tissue repair. Platelet-rich plasma is derived from the patient's own blood and contains a high concentration of platelets that release growth factors promoting tissue healing, angiogenesis, and anti-inflammatory effects. Cross-linked hyaluronic acid is a modified polymer of naturally-occurring hyaluronic acid, designed for increased viscosity and longevity in tissues, serving as a space-filling, lubricating, and moisturizing agent. When combined, this mixture aims to both stimulate endogenous repair (via PRP’s growth factor release) and physically cushion/lubricate tissues (via HA’s viscoelastic/space-filling properties), yielding synergistic improvements in joint function and tissue elasticity.
